Outdoors mid afternoon for 90 minutes. Sunny "warm" day, winds from east or sometimes NE.
3 butterflies heading south right along the shore of Hamlin Lake. Two passing over our huge wild-grass field about 50 yards in from lake edge.
Almost no flowers visible. Zero nectar flowers in field because it is mowed spring and fall, so aims for grass. Goldenrods still the only flower in full bloom but there are none on the field and just a few along the lake edge. Fortunately I watched one butterfly move from lake edge to the parallell road, which does have some good goldenrods a quarter mile south.
