We had 6 monarchs come out of their tree shelters to feed at butterfly bushes. They would be the same 6 as yesterday. We have had light rain on and off so far and expect T-storms this evening and overnight. Temp. at 1:30 p:m feeling like 86F and the winds from the SW at 17m/hr gusting to 25m/hr. The monarchs won't be going anywhere today either. Our resident male has been here now in his 3rd week and hasn't given up his patrolling. He's even cruising about in the light rains.
