Our primary solo guest who has been living and dining in the big Black and Bloom Salvia Patch by the dining room sought me today around 12:15 and performed what I call the “Flutter bye / Thank you dance” by the sunroom window. She then flew to the west and left the habitat.
At 6:15 PM there was a very, small, migrator using a nectar feeder on the east side of the habitat and flying into a tall white pine tree.
Stormy tonight, with winds, and rain; she’ll have good cover / shelter in her white pine location.
