Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/24/2018

Number: 1

From Sunday Sept.16 to Monday Sept. 24 we had females/juveniles, one at a time, arriving late afternoon, spending the night and next day, then leaving the next morning. Each one stayed on average about 40 hours before moving on, for a total of four transients in that time. The first two were large females, the other two were smaller, may have been juveniles. We noticed how they didn't land while nectaring at the feeders until they had been here for a few hours! We have hanging flower pots on each side of the feeders which they enjoyed and may have contributed to this!
