In the afternoon from the hours of 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and every half hour at least I would see at least one Monarch (and once even two) fluttering around and nectaring very heavily with gusto on our butterfly bush. They were fighting hard to stay attached to the bush in high wind conditions which were pushing a cold front through our area.
