I observed 4 monarchs at different locations across the city within a few hours.
There was a northwest wind at 9 mph. Some of the monarchs were flying around low around weeds and one was nectaring.
I observed monarchs in Carthage, Charlottesville and Greenfield as well and I believe I had written the winds were out of the northeast but they were actually northwest.
