Sightings report image

Date: 09/27/2018

Number: 1

I saw one in my yard a newly hatched and it was just trying to get warmth from the ground I did snap a picture of her in an apple tree. I rode over to a milkweed field and did not see any cats, but as I got near the edge of the area where flowers and scrub brush are there were 2 adults , again trying to stay in the late day sun and get stronger for a long flight. Today we have a 1/2 day of heavy rain. I have one newly hatched monarch indoors that I will release this afternoon. She is resting and growing as I write.
