Three female hummingbirds observed. The first was spotted at 2pm at feeder, subsequently being chased off the feeder by the bees, from there it hit upon a late season blooming penstemon before flying off southward. The temperature at the time was 68 degrees (high temp for the day), cloudy overcast and 2-3mph winds out of the SE. Two other females were observed during the observation time of 6pm until 6:50PM. Which at the time it was 60 degrees, 56% humidity, cloudy and winds were calm to 3mph. One at 6:20pm at a feeder, eventually chased off by a goldfinch landing on the feeder and then it returned again at 6:25pm. She flew off southeast ward. Another female flew in from the north to a feeder at 6:50pm. She drank for quite awhile then perched in a nearby shrub for a while before returning to the feeder and eventually flying into some dense evergreens. Overnight temperature is expected to be 48 degrees.
