2 migrating hummers reached our yard in Oakdale MN. They fed as other ruby throats have done the last several days more often on annual salvias and Firecrackers than at the nectar feeders. Another sighting of note is a visit by a red breasted nuthatch. I believe this is first sighting of this type of nuthatch ever in our yard. Quitting time was several minutes earlier at 7:07 p.m. Temperatures are much cooler now with highs in 60s and lows in 40s.
