Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/28/2018

Number: 3

My migrating guests could best be described as Small, Smaller and Smallest :) overcast and cool today with spotty showers, at 5PM it was 56 degrees and falling. At 5 PM, I cleaned all feeders and served warm nectar. Red flags are flying, based in big flower pots, so the flags are approx 12-14 feet in the air for easy aerial viewing and luring into the habitat. Due to the warm fall, there are numerous masses of flowers, favorite is Black and Bloom Salvia, followed by, Lantana, Cuphea, Turtle Heads, Obedient Plants and Zinnias. Tomorrow morning will probably start with temperatures in the low 40's, and we'll serve warm nectar again.
