I have looked all day on my trip from Indianapolis and haven't seen any monarchs. I wondered if they were gone from this area, but I spotted one nectaring on Queen Anne's lace along with a painted lady butterfly and a few minutes later I saw one flying toward some trees at about 15 feet high flying to the west around the 5 pm hour.
Winds were out of the northeast at about 3 mph. Temperatures were in the 60s and sunny.
