Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/29/2018

Number: 3

I've had two juveniles nectaring on both flowers and feeders these last few weeks. One claimed the back yard feeders and the other the courtyard feeders. Both had been feeding non stop the past few days, they were literally at feeders every 10 to 15 minutes.
I knew they would leave soon. So on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning..sunrise at 7:01am, 66 degrees, wind WNW @ 5MPH they decided to start their long journey. They left sometime between sunrise and 8:15 am. It's now so calm and quite here. God Speed little ones. We still have a female who nectars mostly on flowers.
