At around 10:00AM this morning, we spotted 3 monarchs soaring above our house heading southwest. For the next 50 minutes, we counted 13 more. Most were quite high but could be seen without binoculars. Several were as high as our tallest trees and one even stopped for a few minutes before heading on. It’s hard to get anything done when this is going on above our home!! The thermals must be just right for migration today! The high flying ones were simply soaring. Such a beautiful sight!
