Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/29/2018

Number: 20

My yard was filled with nectaring monarchs yesterday--luckily my lantana are in a second full bloom due to great rainfall lately. Also available are wild sunflowers, blue salvia, Blue Mist, red sage bush, and their favorites, potted tropical milkweed blooms and a second blooming of Vitex.
Above the flowers is a large elm tree, where many have roosted at least 3 nights now.
Friends all over town are seeing lots of monarchs! Hanging out are also Queens and Painted Ladies.
