Saw 1 F monarch at 10:55am.
Looked leaves for eggs on 2 nearby zizotes mw plants 1.5 hrs later. Found 7 fresh eggs on 1 plant AND a 1.5in queen cat there ahead of the eggs by a few days!! Second plant had no eggs, but a horrible case if aphids.
Here’s hoping the eggs ARE from that big, gorgeous F monarch I saw this morning, but I will enjoy ANY/ALL queens or monarchs to come.
