Returned home after being gone for 10 days to find the New England asters in full bloom and lots of Monarchs. Counted ~36 at one time feeding heavily. Still seeing lots of monarchs in the afternoons 3 days later (10/2), but not quite so many as the first day. Winds out of the south/west for all 4 days. May have been the peak, but can't say for sure because of our absence prioer to 9/29.
