I observed 2 monarchs today. We had southwesterly winds at times a stiff breeze. The first monarch I observed was about 50 feet or more up. It was trying to glide to the southwest but was pushed by the winds. It made circular patterns I watched it blow to the northeast until it disappeared behind trees.
The second was nectaring on zinnias at my neighbours.
