2 ruby-throated hummers showed up at nectar feeders this morning just after first light. 1 is immature male with a few ruby throat feathers and the other is an adult female. They were preening and fluffing their feathers to shake off light mist that was falling. They are plump little zippers. I think these 2 have been here 2 or 3 days now at least. Today's high is supposed to near 80 degrees with winds out of the south. For us any hummers sighted in October is a bonus. Oakdale MN.
