Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/03/2018

Number: 1

At 3pm a male Monarch flew by and landed in the quickly fading New England Aster. He nectared for about 5 minutes and then headed South. I wonder if this might be the male that roosted here a couple of days ago. It has been cold, mid 50s and no sun, since that monarch roosted. Today, for one day only we have peeks of sun and it is currently 77 degrees, with high humidity and 9 mile per hour winds from the SW. It's going back to the 50s tomorrow so I hope that monarch kicks it and gets out of MN.
