Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/04/2018

Number: 200

Hundreds of Adult Monarch gathered around the playa in the willows and adjacent cotton fields.

They were nectaring. The numbers grew over a few days starting with a few and growing in number until there were multiple hundreds on Oct. 4. This lasted for close to a week. I do not know if they were roosting in the trees around the playa or not as I was never there in the evenings.
