After yesterday's startling sighting of 4 hummers only 1 very plump adult female r-t was at a nectar feeder this morning. I went out to release the vapor lock in the nectar feeders caused by very high winds last night (wind causes liquid to back up into the bottle). While I did this the female was busily nectaring from a Wendy's Wish salvia. There has been very little hummer activity around the flowers lately. So I was glad to see this hummer enjoying the salvia. Today is kind of the average date of our last hummer sighting. We'll see.
