This morning, beginning at around 7 am, the monarchs started lifting out of the dunes and trees and began heading across the Delaware Bay. This went on for hours. It was an amazing sight. In one view there could be 50 monarchs or more. But as the clouds starting rolling across the Bay towards us, the monarchs would lift off and then circle back and settle on the goldenrod to feed.
