Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/05/2018

Number: 20

3:00pm - 4 nectaring and 2 flying Southwest, calm winds
4:30pm - 7 nectaring
5:00pm - there were so many coming and going, it was hard to count. It was like they were dropping from the sky! It appeared that one female was laying an egg on tropical milkweed, but I did not want to check and disturb all the activity. Winds were gusting from the north.
6:50pm - 7 remains and they’re flying off one by one, I think in to my neighbors oak tree. It’s getting a little too dark to see. WOW WHAT A DAY!
