After 2 days of no monarchs seen in the rain and fog, and the temperatures in the 50's, 13 monarchs were observed today on my 2 mile walk. The weather cleared and the temperature soared to 78F. Nine monarchs were migrating down the beach at Harrisville State Park and one was seen in my garden. The other three were observed in town where I was able to net and tag a male (pictured) and female. Tags are YGN-991 and YGN-992. Wind was SSW-9-16 mph. White asters are about the only flowering plants around with just a little bit of goldenrod.
