This was at 9:00a.m, the temperature at that time 34 degrees. The low earlier that morning was 28. I believe it emerged from the chrysalis the day before. There was a caterpillar in this area a little over 3 weeks ago. I could not find where it pupated.
When I checked on the monarch a 2:00 in the afternoon it was gone. The temperature at that time was 52.
