At 8 a.m. this morning, I arrived at the local community garden to do fall cleanup when I spotted this lone Monarch resting on a daylily. It was 38 degrees this morning and I was surprised to see him so late in the season. When I checked back an hour later, he was gone - hopefully safely on his way south.
