Nice bright sun shiny afternoon of about 10°c/50f with a Real feel of about 8°/47f with very strong SW winds at 36-52 kmh.
1:30-2:30 pm located about 50 Monarchs on the calm warm East side of the Tip at Point Pelee National Park. Many were flitting about while others roosted on Grapevine, Virginia Creeper, bare branches & on White Mulberry, Sumac & Hackberry Trees.
Observed only 1 venture out over the lake & attempt to journey south without success, returning to land. Also one was puddling on the ground on side of the road near the Visitor Center.
Returned to the Tip around 5pm- 5:35 & located only 5 or 6 roosting almost hidden under Grapevine.
