I drove from the west end of Jones Beach to the Fire Island Lighthouse I saw 7 monarchs near the west end and 2 during the drive east from about 2:30 to 3:20. The rest I saw near the light house. Most were roosting or fighting the wind trying to roost From 3:20 to 5:20 Wind was about 20+ dropping to about 15 from the WNW, temps in the low 50s, clear blue skies
