We had 5 hummers at midweek and two have gone. Yet, we enjoy the 3 remaining females still whizzing past our heads as they scurry among the feeders. Flowers get equal attention and the hummers favor the Turk’s Cap, trumpet vine, blue salvia, hibiscus, nandina,Texas sage, shrimp plant, gomphrena, four o’clocks, lantana, and pentas.
Will they migrate to Mexico during next week’s last days of October? Or, will they overwinter here with us?
