Two monarchs have been nectaring on butterfly bushes this morning. Appear to be the same two that I saw yesterday as one has a torn wing and the other has some characteristic wing markings. This morning the one pictured appeared to try to warm up on a Japanese maple tree before returning to the butterfly bushes. It was briefly sunny and 58 degrees with little breeze. First saw them around 10:30 but they are still here this afternoon. It is now cloudy but warming somewhat.
