24 Monarchs seen today from 12- 1pm on the warm sunny East Beach at The Tip at Point Pelee National Park.
Temp was 12°c/53f at noon & 14°c/58°f at 1pm. Wind was light on the East side.
They were happily flitting about in the sun &
With the strong 35-50 kmh SouthWesterly Wind they are just patiently waiting (as is the leading edge of Monarchs stalled in Texas) for their escape south across Lake Erie.
They settled individually on Hackberry, Grapevine, & on the Beach!
As per the current forecast the wind doesn't appear favorable (light & northerly) until Wednesday the 24th.
