Around 9 am I spotted 170 monarchs feeding on golden rod and still in their roosts from the night before.The temperature this morning was high 40's low 50's. The monarchs were primarily in the sun desperately trying to warm up.

There is still plenty of golden rod in the immediate area.

I observed for 15 minutes.
