Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/24/2018

Number: 600

It was still raining at the morning, but around 1:00 pm the sky started to clear and we started to watch many monarch butterflies flying in the sky, around 10 butterflies each minute, around 600 butterflies each hour, there were also many American Snout (Libytheana carinenta). A few monarchs descended to nectar in the flowers, but the majority were just flying in a hurry. A beautiful sunny day!
