Since I saw a few roosting the previous day I went to check a few typical roost locations on property. Found none. Raining hard and temp in 40s. They could have been there but I have no experience with what monarchs do in cold rain. All I can say is that none were visible hanging from twigs under the canopy of live oaks and ashe junipers where they have roosted before. Tall forbs and prairie grasses and smaller more dense ashe junipers may be better cover than under trees.
