At the Balcones Canyonlands Nature Preserve, the Vireo preserve area. Song monarchs flying by and feeding on flowers continually during a several hour visit. The number could easily have been higher. I asked the tour host if they ever looked for overnight roosts, and they do not. However there is so much available Roost friendly trees roosting may not be concentrated. That's just speculation.

Also thousands of Queens. Monarchs and queens were often on the same patch of flowers.
