Observed 2 monarchs feeding on late blooming cone flowers in our front flower bed. One stopped long enough for a photo - not sure he will make it to Mexico. His wings look a little worse for wear but he could fly just fine. We have had several days of strong winds in our area and are expecting even stronger winds with a storm front that is moving our way from the west.
