Yesterday, late afternoon, a single HB landed on a feeder just above us and our dogs on our front porch. It made no attempt to drink or even look at us, just sitting there as if in shock. After 5 minutes, it drank heavily. It then flew around the house to the back and rested in the center of a large rose bush. It came out this morning to drink heavily from a feeder on the back porch, then flew off.
A cold front is just now moving in. I think we're done for the season.
