Quite unbelievably on October 22nd in S.E. Michigan I saw a beautiful Monarch Butterfly on our butterfly bush at 4:30 P.M. in the afternoon. The temperature was just 57 degrees, but at least it was sunny and not overly windy as it has been. The butterfly was nectaring slowly which allowed me to get some pictures, but at least it was not quivering from the cooler temperature. I just hope it made it's way south today as our temp. was considerably cooler overnite.
