I'm hoping these are, in fact, Monarchs. The under-wings seem much lighter in color than usual...
There are more this year than last. But still just a sprinkling compared to the vast migrations that nested here twenty years ago.
Insects, in general, are rapidly disappearing in the Texas Hill Country.
