Surprised to see an adult monarch butterfly nectaring throughout the middle of the day on asters in my yard. Frost overnight, temps around 43F to 45F. Flew around yard but not in a southwesterly direction. Today is warmer and there are still asters and daisies in bloom, so butterfly may continue. I will be looking for it!.

NOTE: Photo metadata not correct because camera data was incorrectly set after battery charging.
