My children and I were heartbroken to find all these monarchs lying dead in the sideline on the beach this evening. We collected the ones we could until it became to dark to see. There were more. I think this is due to the malathion being sprayed as part of the city's mosquito abatement program. We've also found many, many dead bees that died with their proboscis sticking out, which indicates poison.
