Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 11/04/2018

Number: 50

As I looked out the window early this morning (11/5), it looked like it would snow..............if I lived in Chicago.
Weird weather continues, mild, overcast, windy.
I went to Medina Garden Nursery again yesterday (Nov 4). There were an average of 50+ monarchs and many other butterflies in the gardens. The most used plants were Mexican sunflower, Gregg's bluemist and La Crucita (Chromolaena odorata).
Another wave of monarchs came in on Saturday (11/3). A friend with a tagged 70 in a short period of time.
The number of monarchs is slowly dwindling as nectar sources are declining.
