Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 12/05/2018

Number: 3

There were 3 monarchs and one queen butterfly on these flowers in the cold (mid 50s with an additional coastal wind chill). They were going between the flowers slowly and then higher up in the surrounding trees where there was more sun.

My husband also spotted a Texas Wasp Moth with them (ID on that from Antman’s Hill, as we first thought it was a bee or wasp). It even climbed along the wingtips of one of the monarchs while on the flowers. All were a little slower in the cold.
