Monarch Waystation #271 reports 7:17 am sunrise, 5:18 pm sunset EST
It rained overnight and was balmy today, enough to raise the inside temp to 74; but I'm keeping the heat on since deep cold is coming tonight.
Even in the shade of the north side of the house, the Dutch Iris, daffodil leaves and Rudbeckia rosettes are up and green. On the south patio, Violas and pansies bloom in pots as Mock Verbena & daffodil leaves bask in the sun. Some primrose leaves are purple, getting "sunburned," back there. Carolina wrens still try out a few snippets of song. Patience...birdhouse will go up, and seeds to start, Feb 2nd.
