Virginia Living Museum celebrated Butterflies: Wings of Wonder today, which included invitations to visitors to plant 50 Red Emperor Tulips in the Children's Learning Garden center bed. The VLM broke ground in the Children's Learning Garden with the planting of Red Emperor Tulips back in 1998, so this also celebrates the museum's 21st planting for the Journey North Tulip Project. It's a little early for our area, so we'll see how that affects Spring emergence & bloom.
