Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 02/07/2019

Number: 2

Two were observed by me. The temp reached 80 F. I knew where two cocoons were and both emerged near the same time. Not many flowers for them to nectar on. I placed my finger in front of one and placed it on a petunia. Earlier in the week I observed a monarch visiting dandelion out in the lawn. Maybe they can get by on dandelion for a little while. I can see that carolina jazzman is beginning to show color. Wish I knew what they can nectar on so I could try to get a few plants. The petunia was purchased the same day because I have seen humming birds this week and I put it in place for them.
