Hellebores - Lenten roses have been in bud this month and now almost in full bloom on Feb. 20. First early daffodils Feb. 18. Many other bulbs emerging, especially narcissus species. Snowdrops visible since mid-Jan. and increasing. Witch hazel blooms mid- Feb. Rock cress buds in rock garden, mid-Feb. January honeysuckle blooms when days are milder, beginning in Jan. Buds on flowering quince, early Feb. Forsythia blooms mid-Feb.
