Sighted six Red-winged blackbirds at my platform feeder and bathing in a brook which is near the feeders. I tried to get a picture but every time I went out they would fly up into the trees which was too far to get a good shot. This is by far the earliest I have ever sighted a Red-winged blackbird in my yard. Very unusual to see these birds this early in the season in this area.
