Waves of hundreds of robins have been seen here for the past 2 weeks.

I live on a ranch, on a high ridge where the property falls off behind my house to pasture land. There are quite a few trees in the pasture so not just a wide open field, but I can see a good deal of land at any given time.
We have had hundreds (thousands realistically) of robins moving through to the north for many weeks. Everyone has been remarking about all of the robins everywhere. Several mornings there were hundreds in our backyard alone, scratching around in the dirt and grass. More this year than previous years but their numbers have dropped way down this week though. Lots of goldfinches here this year also.
