Today, my husband and I were birding above Zitacuaro on an unnamed road off Calle Nicolas Romero. We began seeing dozens of monarchs just after leaving our Air Bnb at 181 Nicolas Romero heading south. Alll butterflies were headed north and we definitely saw over 1000.
